Historical note

Rural American Women, Inc., was founded in 1977 as a national, non-profit organization focused on bringing "visibility and recognition to the achievements and concerns of rural American women." The group was based in Washington, D.C.

 

Collection description

This collection consists of publications and ephemera. Among the publications are various publications relating to issues such as soil erosion, budget concerns, energy use, and vocational education. The ephemera include a blank membership application and order form for publications. There is also an annotated bibliography focused on rural women.
